I took 2 Ubers in NYC. One was a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe and the other was a 2014 Prius V. The Santa Fe had leather seats.

I love the service, but I used to work as a delivery driver in a pretty techy city and Uber drivers gave me endless grief. Unlike taxis that I could spot a mile away, I wouldn’t notice until they’d stop at the start of a green cycle or in the middle of a right-turn while the usually populous crosswalk was unusually quiet. Oh, they’d also nose halfway into an open gap so you’d have either a full-prius or the rear corner blocking your lane.
